catching up…
here’s a recap of some big milestones in our family via pictures, and some just general stuff that fit into our daily…
in no particular order, given i just returned from here sunday, and am still unpacking, sorting, and trying to remember all that i took in there!

she turned SIX! we are celebrating 3 times:) gotta love that! 1 kid party, 1 immediate family celebration/dinner, and 1 extended family/friends gtg:)

the toddler is into her kettrike! loves ringing her bell and watching her big SIS on her bike with no training wheels!!!

ONE tooth LOST. ONE baby spotty FOUND!!!
last night, she is brushing her teeth and out it comes! she is nervous, excited, and proud all at the same time! this morning, she is literally telling everyone at school, and another one of her classmates chimes in with: “cool, emi, i lost mine last night, too!” much to her mother’s shock, she says, “no, yours is just really loose!” said kinder girl proceeds to open her mouth and show her mom that it is indeed GONE. and her mom’s mouth remained wide OPEN for the next 10 minutes, fumbling with um, well, you need to tell me! then it went something like this:
child: you told me once i’m in bed, to stay in bed.
mother: but you have to tell me or daddy about it.
child: why? you said to put it under your pillow and that the tooth fairy would take it away!
mother: yes, that’s right, but i have to call the tooth fairy to let her know about it.
child: but, if she is a true fairy, won’t she just KNOW mom?!!
we were all laughing!!!
i didn’t finish making emi’s tooth fairy pillow in time, so i placed it in a tiny ceramic box her great aunt had given her. i left it out with her breakfast the next morning. she opened it and exclaimed, “mommy, my tooth is gone, and there’s money instead!!!”
me: wow! what are you going to do with the money?
emi: you can win a prize?
me: no, remember…money is what allows us to buy things, like food, toys, treats, etc.
emi: ok, i will help you buy groceries next time we’re at nob hill MOM! LOL omgosh, i was dying!

we had an awesome day at a local working farm, and had a guided tour, and saw a chicken lay an egg, some baby wart hogs, lambs, goats, and tried dried perssimon and some flowers in the herb garden.

ballerina + tutu + headband = toddler flashdancing! and after her workout, what better treat than a gogurt???
happy wednesday all!!! hope you enjoy these as much as i did posting and blogging!!!

our weekend recap
ok, before i share about our weekend, can i just ask who else is shocked we are already into the first week of APRIL???
we all had such a fun, productive, happy weekend!
friday night, we had a full house again up at suzy’s for our regular friday crop night! her featured scrapper, frankie hebert was there, so the contest was that much more fun for the evening!
saturday, after a session at dream dinners with my little chef, emi, my cousin, and her baby…the girls and i headed up to spend the rest of the day/evening with my parents. we played outside on their swing, and had lots of fun with bubbles and emi’s fireworks! we got together at this awesome chinese place with my bro and his gf, to celebrate their anniversary. they’ve been married for FORTY years. go mom and dad! i worked on rocio’s calendars for emi’s teachers end of year gifts that night, after the girls had gone to bed and actually finished them! daddy did a ton of work in the yard and cleaned the house, in preparation for a garbage dump day sometime this week.
today, after breakfast, we loaded up, headed back home, hit the grocery store for some party platters to bring to miss emi’s 6th birthday party, here! my dear friend nicole was our official photographer, so pictures will be coming shortly…suffice it to say that i’m not sure who had more fun: the kids or the parents. fun for all ages, LOL! and the 2 toddlers were just the sweetest! thanks again, nicole, can’t wait to see our party in pictures!
we got home, she opened presents, we started thank yous, had a picnic dinner of breakfast, then baths and bedtime~!
goodnight! this is a busy month- lots of daisy stuff, kinder volunteering, fieldtrips, plays, and our weekends are full again:) hope to capture much more with pictures than last month.
happy april, happy spring!
a great DAY! April 2, 2008
we got to school on time. first time this week. always challenging anyway, but especially this week, coming back from spring break!
the baby rearranged my kitchen cabinets, as i cleaned, got her food ready for the day (she is really into fresh fruit cut up), and caught up with friends on the phone…then realized, we can do this in person! so, we met our sweet friends up at suzy’s to hang out. the babies played together, and i think we only had to buy one or two things as a result. wish we had our cameras…there was this one moment where they were in suzy’s shopping baskets playing row row row your boat with eachother. ok, way too cute! we heard some of the funniest stories from suzy’s trip to the sue gilman show- to hear more, go here!
i picked up some goodies, and my charm bracelet i had left during CHA in her van, and then it was time to pick up big sis! we went on a kinder and baby playdate, and had a blast!!! omgosh, the baby was walking everywhere, and had so much fun, just like the big kids! we didn’t play games at chuck e. cheese, only had lunch and did some rides. the sheer joy and pride on her face was just priceless! the kinders bounced and ran all over, shared tokens, and had such fun together. love seeing their friendships grow!
the baby fell asleep on the way home, and miss kinder girl read her books she had just gotten from the library. she has great intonation when she reads, i LOVE it! she gets that from her daddy:)
the baby napped for about 1 1/2 hours, and so miss emi and i read, then rested some ourselves. once daddy got home, we got some snacks ready, and then miss emi and i were off on our date! she got her hair trimmed, and then we went to see *horton hears a who*. it was so cute! we laughed alot, and had so much fun:) the girls were in bed early tonight:)
i have a bunch of pictures and stories from our weekend, but those will have to wait for now.
happy wednesday!
