happy wednesday everyone!
there’s been so much going on…and so many emotions around it all.
so, this past monday, my baby started preschool. this has been a decision coming for awhile.
we already have the preschool i want for her once she is fully potty trained.
didn’t even think i would find another one that i would like so much that works to reinforce potty training, until we did:) thanks for the referral, k.

here she is with her bff on their very first day! thanks nicole for capturing all that you did…
you see, i could barely keep it together myself, and have no idea why it was this much harder leaving her than when i left emi for the first time. oh my.
vintage emi [circa summer 2002] that just melts my heart and seriously makes me wonder where the last SEVEN years have gone?

she got a new game for her birthday as a late gift, and we’ve had a ball playing it along with some other board games lately… NO daddy, gummy worms are so NOT scary, you should try again! LOL

yesterday, the girls just had the sillies and daddy was all over the tickle game! it was hilarious and i cannot ever get tired of hearing their sweet giggles, you know, the kind where you have to stop and go to the potty as a result of laughing so much!
today:
got the girls’ ready, got them fed, dressed, did their hair, packed the snacks, brushed teeth, and dropped BOTH of them off at school today. immediately, tried to think of a coffee spot that wouldn’t know mari, cause it is one thing to do my new routine as it is, it is quite another to have everyone who knows mari ask where she is. that just stops me, leaves me breathless at times. hit the gym, called the preschool- she had calmed down, and away i went. kickboxing was just what i needed:) talked with several friends along my way [thank God for you!], got the house vaccuumed, some laundry folded and put away, i showered, put war paint on, and then picked up the girls:) we had lunch with some of emi’s friends and saw UP this afternoon. it was wonderful, just what we needed, and other than saying HI to everyone and i mean everyone in the theatre, and patting this very patient woman’s head in front of her, miss mari basically sat through her very first movie and LOVED it!
now that daddy is home and outside with emi playing golf i would imagine, and mari has crashed, i can finish the laundry and get dinner finished since dh started it for us.
love my family.
love this time.
love the change. not always. but will come to fully.
love to see their growth.
love my friends.
love that God sends me gentle reminders daily that this is right where i need to be, at home with my family:)
xoxo,
erin
