our morning began at 5:15am. a little 2 yr old joined me in bed.
we snuggled, laughed, did knock knock jokes, and snuggled more. was so happy she would let me hold her in bed, that is a rare treat for this mommy.
soon, we were up, having *lunch* aka breakfast [most meals she calls lunch or snacks], and dancing to the wiggles.
we did get the dishes done and put away, and 2 loads of laundry started.
then we danced some more. and drew. and played with playdoh. and lined up cups. and stuffed animals. and eggs from the closet. and then we danced some more.
wonder how sisser slept through all of this, and finally, at 8:30am, sisser got up and joined us.
my mom will be visiting today, the girls are just a little excited, since my mom was away for a week on a girl’s trip. can’t wait to hear about what they did and see her photos. she is always on time with them.
and while i’m on here, here’s our weeks recap:
monday: mari preschool.
ran errands with emi.
read with emi. played the movie game.
made some plans with friends.
talked with a dear friend who is now HOME again.
and then, talked with another sweet friend who is now home again, too…if only for a few months, we’ll take it girl:)
cannot wait to see you both again, soon:)
after lunch, the girls’ read to eachother, we watched some videos, played with toys, and tried to just stay cool. after dinner, daddy and emi went out for some family golf time. they had a ball:)
tuesday: daddy’s day off!
we spent the morning and lunchtime at the zoo.
emi noted in her notebook all that we saw, including a first for daddy LOL!
the girls’ loved the little ride section, too. this summer, we’ve not done any family passes, so it is a big treat for them to do rides like that.
after resting for a bit at home, we hit the pool. and since it was 112 degrees, it was awesome:)
after dinner, emi and i headed out for miss pattie’s cards class. thank you again pattie, for all of emi’s goodies. she carries her lil hk box with her everywhere:)
wednesday: mari preschool.
more errands with emi.
making movies with emi.
caught up with a few mommy friends. made some plans for august:)
reading with emi.
dancing with emi.
after lunch, mari napped for a change. she was super grumpy, and almost fell asleep on the floor.
after dinner, mommy had dream dinners and then we watched our fave summer show, the dance one!
today: emi has a playdate with a new friend, she is really excited about it.
and miss mari will have some one-on-one with my mom.
