the girls’ slept in. allowed me more time to prep our morning, and get the van packed before they got up and started dancing to the wiggles!
emi is hoping to find more crawfish at summer camp. and wants to swim more. and more. and more.
mari greeted one of her teachers this morning with a big bear hug and went right into her arms. no tears, not even the fake ones for mommy today.
on my way out of preschool, this woman comes in at the same time. we look at eachother. smile.
i turn back, say “excuse me, may i ask…are you irene???” she says “yes!” and as she is doing so, says and you’re erin! i say yes, and immediately the spazzy erin comes out!
omgosh, irene how are you doing? do you live near here?
irene: yes, we moved here in 01. we have twins starting pre-k here.
me: omgosh, what a small world!
irene: i have such fond memories of you and your family growing up. how is your Mom?
me: omgosh, how are you doing? what a small world!!! [can you tell i'm the spazzy one here?]
irene: we’re doing well. do you work outside of the home? [ how very pc of her!]
me: No, I’m a sahm. do you work?
irene: Oh, just like your Mom. How nice. It is so lovely seeing you. [calm. poised.] I work part time.
me: omgosh, i have to get my older one to camp, it was awesome seeing YOU!!!
irene: I hope I get to see you again, soon. Please say hello to your Mom for me.
me: omgosh, great seeing YOU! do you scrap??? as i’m being led by emi to our car…

all kinds of sweet and fun memories came flooding back to me on the way over to emi’s camp:)

then, i got my workout on! in a different way. our typical wed teacher was mia. the sub i just didn’t enjoy too much. went to find my dear friend and we sweated and chatted up an hour on the treadmill. dripping with sweat we did some stretching and then stretched some other muscles at the mall…since we’re going to the wiggles tonight!!!

i will share some video from last night, since daddy was at bible study, the girls’ and i painted nails and did a warm up for tonight’s event!
