Aside from the treasures we discovered, I had some awesome girltime…

and seeing them find their treasures was a gift in and of itself, too!

While I do not consider myself a vintage girl, I do love bits and pieces here and there.

I was speechless and instantly welled up with tears, when I came across this beautiful old and very well loved jewelry box.

It stopped me in my tracks.

It was just like the one my Grandma had.

The one that each and every summer, when we would visit my grandparents, she would allow me

to take something and wear it for the week. And each time, she ended up giving it to me.

I have a lovely collection of her things…in another jewelry box. Tucked away, with a thousand sweet memories of her. To give to my girls some day.

Back to the flea market…

And I had to have it.

As I was shaking, and asking how much it was, the kind gentleman quickly realized how overcome

with emotion I was, and said to me, it was originally $35, but I will give it to you for $25. Done deal.

Didn’t need to negotiate.

I had a prize far greater than any amount of money could ever bring me.

I knew I wanted to proudly display this treasure:

It had to be in a bright spot and hold my own treasures…

so I added it to my scrap space kitchen hutch,

and have since started to add other tattered angels products.

If they all fit, I will photograph and share that, too.

For now, I will hunt for all the rest of the TA products…

This one, I added a black glaze pen from Sakura + my handwriting:)

This has been a blast!

I arranged the cute little mushroom stamps in a random fashion and stamped my heart out!

And to add dimension, I popped some of them right onto eachother. I also had fun with the snail stamps, they made their appearance underneath the grass punch from Fiskars! Thank you Fiskars for hooking us up!
